Why are Packet Tracer Assessments not working for me in Firefox? Occasionally, when launching Packet Tracer assessments with Firefox, the assessment initialization does not resolve and the exam never properly launches in Cisco Packet Tracer. This happens when the wrong executable is selected after the user is prompted to choose which application to open the "pttp link" on assessment launch. The correct executable is "Packet Tracer Executable" How do I log in to Cisco Packet Tracer? Cisco Packet Tracer requires an individual to have a NetAcad or Skills for All account to access it. Once downloaded, open Cisco Packet Tracer and follow the steps below to log in based on the platform where you created your account:
NetAcad.com (Non-China Students):
1. Ensure “Worldwide” is selected in the “Login Server” drop down menu
2. Click the blue “Cisco Networking Academy” link
• DO NOT click the link in the “Learn more about Networking Academy” sentence
3. A new window will open; enter the email address associated with your NetAcad account and click “Next”
4. Enter your password and click “Log in”
NetAcad.com (China Students):
1. Ensure “China” is selected in the “Login Server” drop down menu
2. Click the blue “Cisco Networking Academy” link
• DO NOT click the link in the “Learn more about Networking Academy” sentence
3. A new window will open; enter the email address associated with your NetAcad account and click “Next”
4. Enter your password and click “Log in”
SkillsForAll.com:
1. Ensure “Worldwide” is selected in the “Login Server” drop down menu
2. Click the green “Cisco Skills For All” link
• DO NOT click the link in the “Learn more about Skills for All” sentence
3. A new browser tab will open where you will enter your login information for Skills for All
4. You will receive a confirmation message: “You have successfully logged in to Cisco Packet Tracer. You may close this tab.”
5. Close the tab and go to Packet Tracer

When you are prompted to log in and use Cisco Packet Tracer, on the Login Server drop down box, select Worldwide as indicated in the image below (this is the default option). Then click either the Cisco Networking Academy icon or the Cisco Skills For All icon to start the login process. Enter the details required in the login screens. When the login screen closes, you have successfully logged in. If Skills For All is chosen for login, you will be prompted to log into Skills For All in your native default browser. If you are already logged into Skills For All from your default browser, you will not be asked to enter your credentials.
